Quick Air Ticketing over the Holidays

Challenge: In December 2008, a new client contracted with Meetings & Incentives to register and ticket over 650 meeting attendees within 2 weeks. The challenge: registration opened December 19 and the meeting start date was January 5.
Solution: The Meetings & Incentives Air department worked to secure air contracts and the team worked through the holidays to provide 24 hour turnaround from registration to ticket issuance.
Result: The Air team was able to meet travelers requested parameters 90% of the time, and 100% of registrants were ticketed prior to the meeting start date. As a result, the client realized over 55% savings on air costs, from initial to final budget.
