Creative Negotiation Helps Two Companies

Challenge: One of Meetings & Incentives' pharmaceutical clients had to cancel a meeting in downtown Chicago, which included a substantial cancellation fee that could only be re-applied within a short timeframe. Another M&I client was looking for space for a meeting approximately the same size with a slight date variance. They were experiencing challenges due to limited availability in the city.
Solution: Through endurance and full utilization of M&I's relationships with both clients and the hotel, the second client adjusted their date by one day and filled the hole left by the pharmaceutical client.
Result: The pharmaceutical client did not have to pay the cancellation fee and the second client was able to host their meeting in a prime location on Michigan Avenue as planned.
