Challenge: The client needed Meetings & Incentives to create a comprehensive Strategic Meetings Management Plan to consolidate meetings and mitigate risk.
Solution: Meetings & Incentives worked closely with the internal planning and procurement teams to develop a corporate website for meeting submission, approval and spend tracking located on the client's intranet. In addition, the team created a meetings and events policy, developed a communication plan for internal stakeholders, negotiated preferred supplier agreements, and identified minority vendors for procurement diversity program. M&I assigned a dedicated Account Manager to interface with internal meeting planners and administrative staff.
Result: Documented savings to the client was over $1.8MM in the first year. Since the program's inception 7 years ago, the client has saved $16MM.
