Challenge: Meetings & Incentives was contracted to create and implement a comprehensive meeting management strategy supported by operational procedures for the internal meeting planning department, in accordance with purchasing and procurement initiatives.
Solution: M&I embedded a key consultant within the client's office to determine the business objectives, create and implement an actionable plan. Working with the internal stakeholders, an internal communication strategy and financial tracking tools were developed including reporting forms, timelines and checklists for meeting planners, internal stakeholders and third party vendors.
Result: As part of the overall strategy, preferred provider agreements were negotiated and standard operating procedures were implemented, ensuring continuity of process and product between corporate planners and Meetings & Incentives. In addition, M&I is able to provide comprehensive reporting on all aspects of the client's meetings - including spend, cost savings and attendance.
