Meet the 2022 M&IW Summit Sponsors: Denali Edition

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the M&IW Summit returns in August 2022. Our signature event brings together our talented team, our valued customers, and our trusted suppliers, including our Denali sponsors. These upper-tier sponsors know how to take meetings and events to the next level! Learn more about them in their Q&As below.

Freeman

Freeman is a leading global event agency offering a complete solution for exhibitors, corporate events, and trade shows. Whether virtual, in-person, or hybrid, they are on a mission to redefine live for a new era. Their integrated full-service solutions leverage a 100-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter.

What are some of the trends or changes you are seeing in your space?

The true marketing value of in-person events has always been about creating opportunities and moving business through the pipeline. Pre-pandemic, big registration numbers and a packed convention hall were a benchmark of success. The assumption was that more bodies in the door resulted in more opportunities for the bottom line to get a boost.

The post-pandemic trend has us rethinking how we approach live events and stop making them about the quantity (number of registrations, people packing the keynote, attendees crammed in booths) and more about the quality.

Quality over quantity goes hand-in-hand with why connecting people at live events matters. Exhibitors and sponsors can feel good about making an investment in an event that offers them a targeted audience that has a higher opportunity to generate leads and new business. Attendees can feel good about investing their limited time and resources in an event that truly meets their needs for education, networking, and entertainment; an event that connects them so deeply, that they become its biggest fan—not only returning every year, but engaging with the event community, content, message, and more long after the event is over.

With today’s higher standards for meetings and events, we developed the Hilton EventReady with CleanStay program to deliver on planners’ expectations and help them create event experiences that are clean, flexible, safe, and socially responsible. In addition, the Hilton EventReady Playbook offers real-world examples and transparency through case studies and its Diary of an Event Planner series. The Diary of an Event Planner entries, written by members of Hilton’s internal event planning team, share how EventReady helped them overcome pandemic-related obstacles and highlight real-time learnings and candid advice and guidance for planners.

We also offer the award-winning LightStay program, designed to assist event professionals in predicting, reducing, and offsetting an event’s carbon emissions. As part of this program, all of our hotels have a LightStay Meeting Impact Calculator for event planners who are interested in estimating their event’s environmental impact.

This year’s M&IW Summit theme is Journey to World Class. How are you currently elevating your business?

Teneo Hospitality Group is actively elevating our partnerships by designing our services around YOU. As a small and nimble company, we tailor how we partner to our clients’ needs. There is no one-size-fits-all solution; there is only how we help you achieve your goals.

We are striving to bring hospitable back to hospitality and help our partners rise above the recent culture of scarcity and service challenges plaguing our industry! Some trends we’re capitalizing on to help our partners include sourcing secondary and third-tier cities because as availability diminishes in primary markets, the spotlight is on those smaller cities that have just as much to offer.

Also, more executives are now having to review and sign off on contracts and negotiations, so we’re helping our clients educate their C-suite executives on current trends and the changing dynamics of the industry.

Visit Orlando

Visit Orlando is The Official Tourism Association® for Orlando, the most visited destination in the United States and Theme Park Capital of the World. A not-for-profit trade association that brands, markets, and sells the Orlando destination globally, they represent 1,200 members companies comprising every segment of Central Florida’s tourism community.

What are some of the trends or changes you are seeing in your space?

The biggest trend we are seeing is that accounts that were once more short term are now looking to secure their space into future years due to demand and tightening availability, especially in the prime season. We are encouraging our customers with annual meetings to look ahead at availability for 2024 and beyond in order to have the best choices in terms of availability of properties and dates.

We also see that short-term space demand is so high that hotels are moving availability to a first-to-contract basis as opposed to offering first or second option holds. After presenting availability, clients should be prepared to schedule sites promptly and be ready to move forward with a decision so they do not miss out on any opportunities.
