An industry veteran and subject-matter expert, Pat Schaumann joins M&IW as a Principal Consultant.
Caledonia, Wisconsin (October 18, 2022) – Meetings & Incentives Worldwide is thrilled to welcome Pat Schaumann, CMP, CSEP, DMCP, HMCC, to the Sales & Marketing team as Principal Consultant, Life Sciences. Pat is an industry subject-matter expert in life sciences event management and a healthcare compliance expert. Her unique skillset will aid in growing and elevating M&IW’s business in those sectors.

In her new role, Pat will work with the Sales and Customer Success teams to grow M&IW’s existing pharmaceutical customer base. She will also represent M&IW as a subject-matter expert at industry conferences and aid in further developing M&IW’s resource center.

Healthcare Compliance Expertise
Pat is the founder and manager of the Meeting Professionals International Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) program, which currently has over 4,000 recipients across 19 countries.
She is the author of Breaking the Code to Healthcare Compliance, 5th Edition, a health policy resource book for meeting professionals, physicians, and manufacturers that serves as the resource for the HMCC program and the Convention Industry Council CMP-HC certification program. She is also the executive editor of the newly released MPI CMP Healthcare Training Manual and The Guide to Successful Destination Management and is also a contributing editor for five editions of the CIC Manual.

She was recently recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry for the fifth time by Successful Meetings.
Additional accolades include being named the first International Destination Management Professional of the Year by ADME International and one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business by the St. Louis Business Journal. Pat has also been chosen as Meeting Professional of the Year by the MPI – St. Louis Chapter and Event Professional of the Year by the International Live Events Association.
