Naomi Tucker, CMP, HMCC is one of the most dedicated professionals within the meetings and event industry. Her list of accomplishments, customer awards, and awards spans more than 25 years. Naomi volunteered on the board of directors for MPI Wisconsin for many years and served as the Chapter’s President for the 2012-2013 term. We are excited to share Naomi Tucker was inducted into the MPI-WI Hall of Fame during their Annual Awards Gala hosted in Milwaukee on August 12, 2021, at the Bradley Symphony Center in Milwaukee. She was joined at the awards ceremony by her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Dedicated to the Industry

Naomi has been an active and valuable member of MPI-WI since 2004! She has helped lead our industry and the MPI-WI Chapter by serving on countless committees. Her leadership has continued by serving on several panels as both a moderator and industry expert. In addition to her role as Senior Account Director at Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc., Naomi has founded Planners on Purpose and Plan It On A Post-It, consulting and blogs designed to empower event planners to stress less so that they can live at their best. Naomi also serves on the Knowledge Committee with the Event Industry Council and as an advisor for the Fox Valley Technical College Event Management Program, and she was recently recognized by Cvent as one of “20 Event Professionals You Should Be Following.” 

“I got started in the events industry more than 25 years ago. It wasn’t exactly a calling; like most of us, I fell into the industry. But from the moment I walked into the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee all those years ago, I never looked back. I just loved it that much,” said Naomi. “There are so many twists and turns in our industry, as we’ve learned that from the last 18 months. Understanding how these changes impact our customers and our events drives my passion for the industry and to continue to learn, grow, and give back.”

MPI-WI Welcomes its Newest Hall of Fame Recipient

At the awards ceremony, Mae Ibe, CMP, Director of Tradeshows and Conferences (also a Past President of the MPI-WI Chapter), had the privilege of presenting the 2021 MPI Wisconsin Chapter Hall of Fame Award to Naomi.

When asked how does it feel to be inducted into the MPI-WI Hall of Fame? “It really feels surreal. There are so many unbelievable people doing good work. In joining the Hall of Fame, I am grateful for all of the amazing professionals who came before me to advance our industry. I am completely honored,” said Naomi.
