Caledonia, WI (August 15, 2024) – Events agency Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. (M&IW) announced the winners of the 2024 Moxie Awards at their signature event, the M&IW Summit, on August 6. The Moxie Awards celebrate M&IW’s customers and supplier partners that exhibited excellence, displayed a courageous spirit, and made an impact in the meetings, events, and incentives industry in the past year.

“We are proud and grateful to have the best partners in the industry,” said Tina Madden, CEO, M&IW, “from the customers who treat us as an extension of their team to the suppliers who share our vision to transform organizations through the power of human energy. Congratulations to all of the 2024 Moxie Award winners!”

2024 Customer Moxie Award Winners

The Customer Moxie Awards recognize organizations whose event and incentive programs push the boundaries of possibility to deliver excellence and unforgettable experiences. Nomination submissions are provided by M&IW employees, and the final nominees and winners are determined by M&IW’s senior leadership team. The one exception is the People’s Choice Award, whose winner is voted on by attendees of the M&IW Summit.

The winners of the 2024 Moxie Awards in the customer categories are:

Customer Partner of the Year: Takeda Pharmaceuticals

The Customer Partner of the Year Award celebrates the partnership that shone brightly through shared goals, celebrated wins, and weathered storms. M&IW is proud to announce the winner of the 2024 Customer Partner of the Year Moxie Award is Takeda Pharmaceuticals.

Having been a partner of M&IW for nearly 20 years, supporting an average of 120 meetings per year, Takeda fosters a productive partnership that drives growth and excellence while meeting strategic goals. Since 2022, M&IW has partnered with Takeda to implement four product launch meetings, manage and plan nearly 250 internal meetings (including incentive trips), and execute well over 100 congresses and clinical HCP meetings collectively.

Elevated Event Award: Grange Enterprise

The Elevated Event Award celebrates programs that infused creative design and meaningful purpose to exceed expectations. M&IW is excited to give this award to Grange Enterprise for their Top 100 Experience incentive program.

After multiple years of partnering on this incentive program and growing our relationship, Grange and M&IW crafted an amazing experience for participants. Featuring the rich culture and beauty of the destination, the program featured an extensive pre-trip gifting and communication strategy along with countless inspiring opportunities for networking, memory-making, and fun, culminating in an immersive farewell evening where attendees were virtually taken around Ireland.

Global Scope Award: Merck

The Global Scope Award celebrates organizations leading the way in their global strategic meetings management plan to unlock new market opportunities and forge stronger international partnerships. The 2024 Global Scope Moxie Award goes to Merck.

Merck’s Global Clinical Trial Operations division provides M&IW with about 150 Investigator Meetings per year. The programs come in as a series where a meeting for the specific drug study is held regionally in the US, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. The specific needs vary by meeting, but they are always large in scope with 500 or more attendees. Because of the global scope of these meetings, interpretation for many languages is required with Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese being most frequently provided.

Innovation Award: Abbott

The Innovation Award celebrates organizations that use technology and innovation to creatively deliver impactful results and unforgettable experiences. M&IW is thrilled to give this award to Abbott for their Transfusion Medicine team’s 2024 Kickoff Meeting.

Every detail of this event demonstrated creativity, originality, and innovation. It raised the standard of sustainability by going paper-free. Registration and communications were managed via Cvent and SpotMe, and digital displays replaced traditional signage. Rechargeable light-up cubes were used for décor, seating, and onstage. The plenary stage spanned the room with huge LED screens and podiums that projected images and videos. This planning team revolutionized event organization, significantly enhancing the attendee experience.

New Customer Partner of the Year: BMO

The New Customer Partner of the Year award celebrates the organizations who have partnered with M&IW in the past year in the pursuit of excellence. The 2024 New Customer Partner of the Year Moxie Award goes to BMO.

While M&IW has been a customer of BMO for several years, the two connected in a new way through supplier diversity at the 2023 WBENC Conference. Ever since, M&IW has been supporting group air and air agent onsite for BMO’s high-end incentive travel in the US, Canada, and Europe. BMO’s CEO highlighted M&IW on International Women’s Day and in a supplier diversity video. M&IW CEO Tina Madden was also invited to be part of BMO Elevate, a diverse business development program that provides executive mentoring, education, and networking opportunities. This partnership continues to grow, and both organizations look forward to what the future holds!

People’s Choice Award: Merck

Designed to recognize outstanding creative work from Flow, M&IW’s marketing, engagement, and creative services division, the People’s Choice Award celebrates outstanding graphic design and event creative elements from the past year.

M&IW Summit attendees voted, and the 2024 People’s Choice Award goes to Merck for their President’s Club trip.

Flow provided digital and print creative services, copywriting, and gifting. Inspired by the destination for the program, the Cayman Islands, the wide variety of assets allowed for a unique approach where pieces were not too repetitive but still created a cohesive whole. The high-end design helped prepare attendees for the luxurious experience that awaited and evoked the natural beauty of the destination.
